About the event
A Blue Ribbon Panel will speak on the Historical, Cultural, Social and Artistic Impact The OHIO THEATRE LIMA has had on our Community from 1927 to the Present! Scheduled to speak are Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith, President/CEO of Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce, Jed Metzger, Director of the Allen County Museum, Amy Craft Klassen, Chairman of The Council for the Arts of Greater Lima, Bart Mills, Executive Director of Downtown Lima Inc, Betsy Billingsley and current stewards of The OHIO THEATRE LIMA Michael Bouson and Joe Correll.
The Panel Presentations will be followed by Live Piano Music by Ray Cheney who will lead the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to The OHIO THEATRE LIMA and Complimentary Anniversary Cake prepared by the chefs at The Ohio Theatre (a preview of our delicious three-layer Lemon/Blueberry Confection with Lemon Curd, Blueberry Preserves and Lemon Zest/Cream Cheese Frosting).
The Stage Door Canteen’s Almost Famous Open Mic Night follows from 8:00 - 10 pm featuring a very special guest - Lima’s First Poet Laureate Timothy Cheeseman.
Our full bar and food menu will be available throughout the entire event and evening.
The Avante Garage produces original musicals and plays in Los Angeles and Lima, Ohio.
